Performance 'Sisyphus'
Performed by: Branko Gulin, I. J. Pino Ivancic and Yin Peet

The symbolical pushing of objects through the city streets is reminiscent of the Sisyphus and his universal story. Everyone is 'sentenced' to 'life' which, to the great extent, consists of meaningless repetition of everyday actions which are preventing us from thinking about the essence and the meaning of life.

'Sisyphus' (Branko Gulin) is followed by a businessman (Josip Pino Ivancic) who is using a whip to force Sisyphus to roll a big paper 'egg' (Yin Peet's work). After hours of rolling the performance ends in the Luka Gallery, the meeting point of artists- 'the children of Sisyphus'.

A strong interaction with the public (passers-by) took place during the performance. The public was, if only for a minute, distracted from their everyday routine and activities, and thought of our actions as absurd.
